In 2004 Frankston Junior Football league was less than 2 months away from financial ruin. With 3000 kids unable to play sport and one of the states larges leagues collapsing, the social, economic and business loss would have been devastating to the Frankston area. The Frankston Junior Football league asked the AFL X-Men for assistance. By incorporating former AFL Players and icons that had originated from the Frankston League, the AFL X-Men designed The Team of the Century, a fund raising / marketing strategy that was so successful the community response was overwhelming. Filling the community hall and raising over $20,000, 3 years later the Frankston Junior Football league is still in existence and the number of Clubs and Participants has increased.
